all right welcome everybody another beautiful monday and we’re talking about the market how you doing brett i’m good man i uh i went and sweated out a couple beers this morning that left over from our company party on saturday which was awesome we had a good time um our first of two celebrations for uh us turning 50. so we’re yeah part one is done part two is coming in july yep so we’re pretty stoked about that and yeah so as far as how’s the day going today so far so good yeah the markets copper had a nice run and 10 cents came off of it you know but we’re still in that 340 or 440. area 340 440 440 yeah we’re still in the 440 area um which is where we’ve been we’ve been floating around 430 to 450 on the comex and honestly that is still killer like i’ve said it many many mondays like anything above four i’m a happy camper yeah granted we are all hoping to get to five at some point and i still think that we’ll be here no matter when like if i had that answer

i’d be i mean we spent a lot of 21 talking about when it was gonna hit five it did it but maybe we’ll just give us something to talk about in 22 like when does it hit five bucks i’m saying i’m gonna call it second quarter five let’s go calling it i’m i’m okay with that i’d be okay with it um everything else looks strong aluminum had a great run last week nickel is on fire which is driving the stainless pricing the big thing i just want to encourage people to pay attention to though right now is especially on the east coast now is logistics is up yeah like it’s i was looking we were running freight rates um going to the midwest on some material and logistics and we’re i like to think we’re pretty damn good at logistics like that’s probably if one of our strengths like one of our top three strengths is just our ability to move in move out move our own material you know that’s why i think our commercial business is strong because we’re very strong on logistics and take it from a guy that runs freight

rates and listens to freight rates a lot like it’s expensive now how much more like 25 more than a year ago yes at least at least and some lanes are even crazier right close to 50 it’s more it’s expensive yeah i mean we’re looking at you know what what could at one time you know been a you know six seven cents to to go certain spots now it’s 14 15 cents you know i mean it’s something that’s doubled it’s crazy and it all depends on what time of year what lane you’re going but uh that’s kind of why i feel it’s kind of laughable on the ferris side to think that the price came off 60 bucks or 50 bucks in some areas yeah i’m hearing whispers though you hear that some people aren’t getting the material that they either thought they might get or that the price got driven too far doesn’t surprise me yeah i think people are people are pissed they feel like they’re gonna sit you know when they get pissed you can and people have the the space and the capital to sit they’re gonna sit yeah and so

i feel like we you know it’s early to tell but i feel like february you might get some of that back if you got if you really got dinged in january i mean we’ll see time will tell but it felt like some people got a little bit greedy so what’s pus pushing the logistic uh cluster truck drivers lock drivers lack of equipment you know we ordered three trucks for 2022. our peterbilt guy said you’d be lucky to get one um we ordered those we ordered a while ago a while ago right so it’s equipment’s tough to come by you know trailers we were we were thinking we had ordered some more flatbeds they said they’re so they’re far behind in their production it’s just manufacturing of equipment and then you gotta i don’t care if you got the nicest best trucking fleet out there if you don’t have a driver sitting behind the steering wheel that truck is just a pile of iron and aluminum and copper and fiberglass you know what i mean but it ain’t worth yeah so you got to have that you got to have those cdl truck drivers to

make that equipment go you know you can talk all about the autonomous driver you know these rigs all you want but that ain’t here that technology has not arrived yet there’s a lot of logistics that needs stuff that needs to happen that’s arrived it’s here and ain’t getting moved and if it is it’s getting moved for a grip of money well i mean i don’t think that’s going away then no pay attention to that yeah that i mean they thought logistics and supply chain was a big issue in 21. if something doesn’t correct and 22 it’s gonna be real painful okay well you know we do have a new episode of cat’s corner coming out for our converted brand all right check that out that’s kind of like this episode but we thought we’re solely talking about the pj markets so everyone go over there and check it out i’ll put the link on this post for that as well and we got something super cool coming down the line here real soon it should be here we’re pretty scared so we’re gonna get another uh another reclaimed division going so we will we’ll

get into it on these days here soon but we’re excited 2022 is going to be a good year we just thought we should create a few more companies we were bored like we had anything to do all right thanks everybody thank you
