Today, I have someone with me whom I consider a friend, Jennifer Betts. Jennifer, thank you so much for joining us today.

**Jennifer Betts:** Thank you, Colin. It’s been wonderful getting to know you over the past year or so.

**Colin:** You’re all over social media, LinkedIn, Instagram, preaching recycling, and the metals industry. You are a wealth of knowledge. As we’ve gotten to know each other, I’ve been impressed by the depth of your industry involvement and your expertise. We even discovered we grew up very close to each other!

**Jennifer Betts:** It was crazy when I learned you were more or less down the street from where my parents still live. I definitely didn’t think I’d end up in this industry either.

**Colin:** Same here! I started in engineering before moving into the business side. It’s fascinating how these paths converge.

**Jennifer Betts:** Yes, it’s interesting. The easiest answer to how I got here is a career fair where I was introduced to the metals industry. I signed up for the job at David J. Joseph Company thinking it’d be interview practice, but it became a full-blown career.

**Colin:** Fast forward, and now you run your own company, Magnar Metals. Tell us more about it.

**Jennifer Betts:** Magnar Metals is a digital marketing, PR, and business scouting firm specializing in solving commercial problems in the metals supply chain. We do everything from brand awareness to utilizing cutting-edge technology for metallurgy and recycling.

**Colin:** Your involvement and the insights you share about legislation, tariffs, and industry changes are incredibly valuable. You truly are uniquely positioned in this industry.

**Jennifer Betts:** Thank you. It’s about being authentic and putting your expertise out there. It connects me with people who have different areas of expertise.

**Colin:** The industry is transforming fast, and there’s a push for safety, new technology, and sustainable practices. We’re witnessing a revolution within this field.

**Jennifer Betts:** Absolutely. The safety and innovative processes are imperative as we handle challenging materials. Sharing what we do and its impact helps educate and attract more talent to our industry.

**Colin:** Jennifer, your insights are invaluable. Thank you for sharing your time and knowledge today. It’s been a pleasure, as always, to chat with you.

**Jennifer Betts:** Thank you, Colin. It’s been wonderful talking with you. Best of luck with your endeavors!
