alright guys we’re here with another metal Monday it’s May 11th it’s Monday obviously and how you doing Brett doing well man just looking forward to shooting our first metal Monday and our new badass podcast yeah thanks to uh Jay Milligan and all his hard work and his all the help he’s had it’s been fun it’s pretty cool yeah I love it looks awesome I’m excited to hear how it sounds when we’re done with this first one we’ve got a pretty good podcast lineup people lined up to come through come visit us say hi so if you have any desire to get out and get into shooting a podcast we have a new podcast lineup coming up scrap life where we talk to various people about that are in the scrap business and kind of how it’s changed their life and and it’s been it’s gonna be a good deal so looking forward to that but we can get back to the middle of Monday yeah so last week we finally saw some decent momentum with copper yeah we’ve got a we’ve got a nice little run hopefully it holds it’s off a little
bit this morning but yeah ferrous prices are up you know for the month of May we kind of got some of that stuff locked in depending on whether it’s shred feed or cut great scrap you know you’re looking at you know 10 20 bucks so that’s always a that’s always a good sign I mean we’ll see if it holds but I mean we’re gonna ship what we got we’re gonna try to move some material so we’ll see what happens well it’s a positive move anyways yeah even that little momentum I mean we saw it go up like five six cents last week yeah on the copper so copper I mean we saw just with that little movement we’ve seen just a big influx of of copper coming into the yards and aluminum still in the doldrums yeah cool it feels like it’s trying to find a you know a bottom so that the stainless pricing is is okay we move some stainless last week so we’ll see we’re going to keep a scrap moving on RN and just try and you know navigate these these markets but it feels like there’s some positive momentum
in it are all around yeah that’s how I failed to and I guess we’ll just keep watching and we’ll see you guys next week next week we have Pete was a Noel come on we’re gonna walk through a hedging and it’ll be an extended metal Monday but we’re gonna walk through some copper hedging some platinum palladium rhodium hedging gold hedging and just how it may be a smaller you know scrap metal recycling facilities could do that could could actually participate in the hedging process so looking forward to getting Pete’s take on the precious metals next week where he thinks that market is and then we have a special podcast on all about hedging sounds good thanks Brett alright thanks Nick
