welcome everybody how you doing brett i’m good man metal monday let’s fire this train up all right we are into our second week of october basically our second medal monday october i guess no no no no no september yeah well that’s a lie that’s that was fake news i apologize actually it’s the first metal monday of october middle monday of october do you have an idea where you’re ferris i don’t man i mean i i thought you know we thought it was going to be up october and it still might be it’s not doesn’t look like a big move um but we’ll see i mean that’s still to be probably negotiated and determined um but i’m hoping the next day or two we’ll kind of have some things ironed out we saw copper really really fall last week does that affect some of those those ferris contracts even though it’s like your base metals your copper and you know i think that’s a copper’s like it’s a beast of its on its own i mean you look today like copper’s down but nickels up leads up i mean yeah aluminum was you know

strong sideways but copper’s down and but you feel and it’s kind of platinum palladium you know everything else is silver everything is up in a big way on the precious metal side so i don’t know i mean you know it just kind of marches to the beat of its own drum i read um that nissan car sales were down 33 more than they expected yeah i don’t know if that affects it a lot it could you know i don’t know i think it depends there’s a lot of things that that that determine the copper whether it’s inventory or asian demand and which they say is off you know what’s i think that’s kind of what may be driving it or maybe more inventory than they thought that there was so it just kind of depends on um and that’s a very heavily traded market you know big swings big ups big downs i mean that’s what traders love so that’s definitely uh you know especially in other countries you know asia i mean they they trade copper like a you know like just like the stock market yeah we do here so at the

end of the day right now we’re around 290 in the comex and shoot three four months ago i would have been begging for 290. yeah you know that’s another way to look at it like sometimes you get so caught up in like what it was 310 for like a week a little more yeah we got a good run for sure so we’re down about 20 from the peak but at the end of the day it’s still pretty good like it’s a good number that’s what and i truly you know i believe that right now it’s a killer number still yeah you know it’s good i mean could it be better yeah it could be worse oh yeah um but your precious metals are all pretty strong today um so that’s that’s always a good good sign for you know on the converter side of our business nickel bounced so that’s good and helps the stainless pricing aluminum is kind of strong sideways all in all the base metals and and the pressure metals are pretty good still fairly easy to move a lot of that material for you so far yeah yeah i haven’t

i haven’t had any any issues um any i mean the spreads have widened out on a few items but nothing that’s like unbearable all right what shirt are you wearing brett so we this is our new uh shirt that we are raising money for um breast cancer awareness we put a uh post out on linkedin it’s got three of the charities that we’re gonna donate the money to we did this uh two months ago with the scrap life the american flag shirt and that money went to semper fi fun so we’re selling these shirts again um donation you can you you name the price of the shirt as long as we can cover the cost and add a little bit of money for the charity and uh it’s pretty big in our area for in our family the shirt just because it’s got that scrap life logo on the back you know fight club on the front and like i think just there’s no there’s no group of people that fight harder in my book than people fighting breast cancer oh yeah and then obviously the scrap industry man like we’re just a bunch

of fighters like just a bunch of like cockroaches we’re hard to kill like we’re just we always find a way even when we get some shitty times that we got to deal with and we find a way to get through it so it’s kind of a way to combine you know two groups of people that that got a lot of fight in them and you know we’re using the money to raise uh awareness for breast cancer which is big in my family it’s big with with my dad and um we have a whole pink semi-truck trailer dedicated to you know bringing awareness so well i think everyone in this day and age has been affected by cancer and some you know a friend a family member like everyone knows someone exactly and like so i think it hits very close to home we love making these shirts like you know it’s kind of a cool way it unites our crew it unites like our industry unites people in general something kind of cool and we make good quality shirts we don’t mess around and yeah it’s a nice try blend it feels good
