welcome everybody we’re here for another metal monday it’s in here with brett it is december 7th top of the morning to you sir how you doing man i can’t complain it’s uh this was a good weekend we had our uh company dinner yep um over here in idaho we’re still allowed to do those things yep so uh it was a good time we got together had a couple of uh beers ate some dinner and just kind of looked back and on the year so far and just kind of tried to put it all into a video show and just kind of crazy to think what a guy can get done in a year if you just put your head down and go it’s crazy how much things can change in a year so like i like to always remind people like in a year from now if you really put your head down like things could be a lot different for you if they need to be different you know if you’re good doing what you’re doing then just keep doing it you know and like we we do a a picture award a

picture contest yeah that’s been really successful brian shout out to brian bali yeah for winning in that um shout out i gotta take somebody bad ass pictures man like of our trucks you know and it circles back around to pride dude because that guy’s got a lot of pride about what we do and yeah he fits he fits into our work family so good because of that yeah it looks like the metals markets are uh are just kind of taking a day off today um yeah covers off a couple cents nickel’s off aluminum’s off or aluminum is probably the biggest mover down like a penny and a half but it had a good friday so i think it’s just giving some of that back adjustment platinum palladium down off a little yeah you know but those same story those things really really went up quite a bit last week so yeah platinum still above 1000 which we didn’t see a thousand dollar platinum for a long time yeah so that’s gonna make your catalytic converters more valuable which in turn can make your complete vehicles a little bit more valuable if you’ve got a

recycler that will cut the cap for you yeah and know and ferris markets definitely ended up i mean depending on where you’re going whether you’re going domestic steel mill export you know you’re looking at 40 at 70 bucks it looks like over here in the in our in our region um and it depends on the grade what you’re trying to sell but i i think that um you know the the guys in the midwest are i mean they’re they’re seeing like 80 yeah 80 oh yes which is that’s big we’re not seeing that over here but uh we’re still getting good up money good enough that we can kind of pass it on our customers and and maybe get the flow you know going a little bit um keep the flow moving on the scrap in through a pretty cold chilly december we’ve had so far which is pretty par for the course for us um it’s crazy to think that we’re a couple weeks away from christmas and once christmas hit man it’s a wrap 2020 is in the rear view mirror and you’re 20 21 and going yeah we’ve talked about a

lot of people are bitching about 2020 there’s definitely been some bad things that come with it but i think it’s really made a lot of companies a lot of individuals really focus on themselves and maybe what’s more truly important and what’s needs to be done so i think there’s it’s like anything there’s a lot of good things that can come from it from a negative it’s been a while so we had some wild swings right start the year high went down down to the ground um march april april may and that ran and back up and now you’re looking at big up months so it’s who knows what 2021 is going to bring just control you can control and that’s all we do consistency just keep doing what you have been doing the last 10 years and just keep going and try and figure out a way to get a little bit better all right well we’ll see everybody in a week all right guys have a great day
