okay a very very special Metal Monday today man tell tell everyone where we are today Brett we are at the new tire reclaim uh Tire processing facility in Idaho so you can’t see him but up there is one of the magicians that we’ve been dealing with um the last really we started this project about a year ago and it’s just we’re finally it’s finally starting to kind of come to fruition so we’ll shoot some footage and kind of let everybody know what it’s going to look like here when it’s actually running here soon enough but we’re pretty excited about what’s going on right now so behind you you see some conveyor belts some some channels here it’s a it’s kind of a I would say like a 4ish stage process from an initial shred to a grind which is actually going to separate the steel wire to then a cracker Mill which then um gets it to a size that we are looking for and then it’s screened DED it probably goes through a series of I want to say like seven or eight magnets to basically pull all the steel out so
you have a very clean rubber behind um Carson and Sky you have basically two Shake tables that are um going to uh size it size the material and then it goes up to a bagging station those Hoppers and down to uh basically fat sacks so it’s everywhere everything from a 20 to 30 mesh um asphalt sealant type material all the way to you know your 1020 crumb that you see in your sports Fields athletic fields um playground surface areas and molded Goods okay the tire wire that’s a commodity we talk about absolutely Ferris yep what’s it going to do in November you know I’m hearing some kind of the new steel prices are coming up you know it looks like they’ve got a little you know little push behind the hot roll price but I don’t know that we’re going to see it on the scrap and maybe on your your some of your um some of your materials like Bush Lane some of that material that’s maybe not as plentiful Supply but everything is still fairly tight which is going to keep a floor underneath the fairest prices but there’s no real momentum
yet to push it now I did hear this morning that potentially they did come up with a UAW deal for GM for GM M um they got the Ford deal done over the weekend tentatively so if these Automotive strikes come to an end we could see at least a short-term push in demand which then you know with the lack of Supply we might get some some real some some pricing uh push I don’t see it dramatic but as long as we can kind of keep a floor underneath it somewhat then we at least got a Fighting Chance on the feris scrap side so if those automakers make the deal we could have pretty like decent and not not crazy but we could have like a decent last part of the year we could yeah we could Copper’s really recovered yeah I mean if 366 is recovery then yeah it’s not $3 so yeah I’d like to see it push back towards four bucks probably like a lot of other people but if this is the new normal for a little while then I mean I think it’s still a doable you know workable
number it was really feeling like we’re going to be in that 350 maybe even break under it you know but but it didn’t happen so there’s a lot of stuff coming out this week so this week will be pretty pivotal I mean there’s a lot of numbers a lot of I mean there’s a lot of information coming from the fed this week there’s a lot of numbers that are going to get printed to just really determine there plus you have basically ding near two Wars going on outside the United States there’s just so much information that that’s going to push and pull pgms it’s going to push and pull base medals there’s there’s a lot that we still got to be aware of okay well keep an eye on what all that does and let everybody know and I’m excited to show everyone more of this machine uh here in the next uh few weeks next few years we’re going to fire this thing up here tomorrow and start kind of pre-run and everything and then this week we should be kind of buttoning battening down tightening every all the bolts and getting
everything running we might by the end of the week we hope to be making Crome is that Crome affected by market swings not nearly like what you see on the base metal side it’s a it’s a fairly low value item so you’re not going to see big big swings um either way it’s more of a true supply and demand Supply demand what’s available what’s being made how quality of a product can you make is important so which is why we invested in equipment we did we wanted to make the best of the best and the only way you make the best of the best is you got the best equipment you got the best operators and that’s kind of what we needed to make this happen all right thank you Brett thank you everybody all right guys have a great week
